Kunker sale 263, lot 1379
This specimen was lot 1379 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €480 (about US$620 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SOLMS-LAUBACH, GRAFSCHAFT Albert Otto, 1610-1639. Reichstaler 1623, Laubach, mit Titel Ferdinands II. RR Justiert, fast sehr schön. (Germany, county of Solms-Laubach, Albert Otto, 1610-39, thaler of 1623, Laubach mint, in the name of Ferdinand II. Rare, adjustment marks, choice very fine.)"
This rare issue is the only thaler minted at this locale in the seventeenth century.
