This specimen was lot 1693 in Jean Elsen sale 117 (Brussels, June 2013), where it sold for €1,900 (about US$2,996 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ALLEMAGNE, SAXE, Friedrich August Ier (1694-1733), AR Taler, 1708, Klippe. Tir des Etats (Vogelschiessen zu Ehren der Landstände). Droit: Monogramme couronné. Revers: ZU ERGETZUNG DER VERSAMLETEN STAENDE 13 FEBR 1708 Vue du champ de tir. Rare. Griffe dans le monogramme au droit. Belle patine. presque Superbe. (Germany, Saxony, Frederick August I (1694-1733), silver thaler of 1708, klippe, for the state shooting festival. Obverse: crowned monogram; reverse: view of the shooting range, legend around. Rare, scratch on monogram, nice toning, about extremely fine.)"
