This specimen was lot 40223 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $5,288. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Sardinia. 1/2 Doppia, 1797. NGC MS-61. Carlo Emanuele IV (1796-1802). Very scarce two year type. From the Demarete Collection."
