This specimen was lot 30353 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $1,057.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Salzburg. Hieronymous Graf Colloredo gold Ducat 1794-M, MS63 NGC. Obv. Bust of Archbishop right. Rev. Crowned and mantled arms with date below. The prooflike fields retain fully lustrous surfaces. Scarce in this condition." This type, struck 1787-1802, is among the more common German ducats. The archbishopric was secularized in 1803 and passed to Austria in 1813.
