This specimen was lot 24076 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $2,937.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Regensburg. Free City Taler 1788, MS63 NGC, meticulously struck with prooflike surfaces. An archery contest commemorative piece with an old-time museum or collector acquisition number inked on the reverse." This issue is rare.
