Sincona sale 43, lot 2143
This specimen was lot 2143 in Sincona sale 43 (Zurich, October 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Regensburg, Stadt, 1/2 Konventionstaler 1781. Titel von Joseph II. Vorzüglich. (Germany, city of Regensburg, half convention thaler of 1781, struck in the name of Joseph II. Extremely fine.)"
This one year type uses a bust of the emperor that does not resemble him in the slightest, appearing more like the deceased Francis I. See Dav-2625 for a more representative image.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 14.03 g, .833 fine silver, this specimen 13.93 g.

Catalog reference: Beckenbauer 7205; KM 443.
