Kunker sale 264, lot 3801
This specimen was lot 3801 in Künker sale 264 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €4,800 (about US$6,201 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"STADT Dukat o. J. mit Titel von Franz II. GOLD. Prachtexemplar. Kl. Randfehler, fast Stempelglanz. (Germany, city of Regensburg, undated ducat struck in the name of Francis II. Proof example, small rim flaw, choice uncirculated.)"
This undated type may have been struck for more than one year. Tho scarce, it is less rare than most other Regensburger gold coins of the eighteenth century.
