This specimen was lot 31013 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $4,560. The catalog description[1] noted, "Regensburg. Free City gold 1/2 Ducat ND (1765-1790) MS63 PCGS. Highly lustrous and choice, this charming city issue displays an enchanting golden-orange tone and exceptional surfaces, along with a razor-sharp strike and slight cameo nature. Tremendous eye-appeal is self-evident." Regensburg retained the quaint habit of not dating her coinage, to the annoyance of modern collectors. This issue accompanied a single ducat (Fr-2564).

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.75 g, 0.986 fine gold.

Catalog reference: KM 386, Fr-2566.
