This specimen was lot 3704 in Stacks-Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $481.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Prussia. Taler, 1794-A. Friedrich Wilhelm II (1786-97). NGC MS-62. Toned with underlying luster. Nice strike and very attractive. From the Rockaway Collection." This type was struck 1791-97 at Berlin (shown here), Breslau and Konigsberg. Open and closed '4' varieties exist.
