This type was struck in Lisbon in 1910. King Carlos ruled from 1889 until his assassination at the hands of an anarchist in 1908. His son Manuel II, shown here, ruled for only two years before he was deposed and the Republic established. The last silver coroa was issued in 1916.

Recorded mintage: 6,363,000 for 1909-10.

Specification: 2.5 g, .835 fine silver, .067 troy oz ASW, designed by Valancio Alves.
