Ponterio sale 169, lot 10618
Poland 1930 5 zlotych rev Ponterio 169-10618.jpg

This specimen was lot 10618 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $323. The catalog description[1] noted, "POLAND. 5 Zlotych, 1930. Low relief. NGC AU-58." This commemorative honors the centennial of the failed 1830 revolt against Russian rule. Altho it has a Davenport number, we deem it too small to be considered a crown.

Recorded mintage: 1,000,000 plus 200 in high relief.

Specification: 18 g, .750 fine silver, .434 troy oz ASW, 33 mm diameter, lettered edge.

Catalog reference: KM Y-19.1, Dav-252.
