Aureo sale 232, lot 2840
This specimen was lot 2840 in Aureo y Calico sale 232 (Barcelona, March 2011), where it sold for 102 euros (about US$169 including buyer's fee). The catalog description[1] noted,
"POLONIA. 1833. 10 zlotych. Golpecitos. Escasa. (MBC-). (Poland, ten zlotych of 1833, rim bumps, scarce, nearly very fine.)"
This issue was struck 1833-41 in St. Petersburg while Poland was under Russian rule (1815-1918). Ten zlotych equaled one and a half rubles. Russian coinage for Poland ended in 1841.

Recorded mintage: 127,000.
