This specimen was lot 12448 in Ponterio sale 177 (Chicago, August 2013), where it sold for $1,880. The catalog description[1] noted, "POLAND. Ducat, 1831. NGC MS-61. Revolutionary coinage. Eagle and torch privy marks. Variety with dot before torch." This rare type is listed for 1831 only. Coinage for Poland ceased in 1841 and regular Russian issues introduced.

Recorded mintage: 163,205.

Specification: 3.46 g, .986 fine gold, 21.4 mm diameter.
