This specimen was lot 32340 in Heritage sale 3041 (Chicago, August 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Stephen Bathory. City of Olkusz Taler 1580 XF45 NGC, of highest rarity. Obv. Crowned and armored half-length bust of Stephen Bathory right, holding scepter in right hand, with left hand on sword hilt. Rev. Crown dividing date 15-80, with arms of Poland and Lithuania, and small arms of the Crown Treasurer Jakob Rokossovsky, below. Well struck for the issue, with gray-russet toning and minor edge flaws."
