This type was struck for the Commonwealth of the Philippines at the Manila mint 1937-41 and at Denver 1944-45. The Manila issues are not rare but are overwhelmed by the enormous production of the Denver mint. All were demonetized by the Philippine government in the 1960's and now trade for bullion.

Recorded Mintage: 1,500,000.

Specifications: 4 g, .750 fine silver, reeded edge.

Catalog Reference: KM 182.
