Peru 1996 50 centimos
This type, issued 1991-96 from Lima, superseded the inflation ravaged inti (1 nuevo sol = one million intis). Amazingly, this reform has stuck and the 50 centimos is still in use tho this design is no longer in production.
Recorded mintage: 5,000,000.
Specification: 5.45 g, copper-nickel-zinc, 22 mm diameter.
Catalog reference: KM 307.1.
