This type, issued 1982 from Lima, reflects the accelerating pace of inflation which devastated Peru in the late 1970's and 1980's. This issue honors Grl. Caceres, victor of the battle of La Brena. This seems to be the only time this denomination was used. This is among the last coins issued before the inti reform of 1985.

Recorded mintage: 100,000.

Specification: 16.81 g, .925 fine silver, .496 troy oz ASW.
