This type, issued 1979 from Lima, reflects the accelerating pace of inflation which devastated Peru in the late 1970's and 1980's. This issue honors the National Congress building in Lima. This seems to be the only time this denomination was used.

Recorded mintage: 200,000.

Specification: 15.55 g, .500 fine silver, .248 troy oz ASW.
