Peru 1963 5 Soles
This specimen was lot 72866 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Santa Ana, CA, May 2017), where it sold for $235. The catalog description noted, "PERU. 5 Soles, 1963. PCGS MS-67 Secure Holder. Superb gem." This denomination, struck 1950-69, was theoretically a circulating coin but actually was a bullion piece like her sisters, the gold fifty, ten, twenty and hundred soles.
