This specimen was lot 2650 in Goldberg sale 103 (Los Angeles, February 2018), where it sold for $199.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Peru. 5 Soles, 1960. Liberty seated. Tied for finest graded. NGC graded MS-67." This denomination, struck 1950-69, was theoretically a circulating coin but actually was a bullion piece like her sisters, the gold ten, twenty, fifty and hundred soles.

Recorded mintage: 8,133.

Specification: 2.34 g, 0.900 fine gold, 0,075 troy oz.
