Peru 1914 medio dinero rev 600.jpg

This medio dinero, or half dime, was struck in Lima in 1914. Most issued after 1898 were made from melted down one sol coins. A earlier type, with a slightly different figure of seated Liberty, was issued 1863-64 (KM 189). The silver coin was replaced in 1918 by a copper-nickel five centavos.

Recorded mintage: unknown. The regular date is common, the overdates scarce.
