This type was struck at Lima 1825-28 and at Cuzco 1826-29 and is rather common; the complete span of Peru standing liberty eight reales runs 1825-55. Assayer JM is recorded for the Lima mint 1825-31.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 27.07 g, .903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
