This specimen was lot 1344 in Stack's Bowers ANA auction (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $1,997.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "PERU. 8 Escudos, 1791-IJ. Charles IV (1788-1808). NGC AU-58. Bust of Charles III." This transitional type is noted for 1790-91.
