Aureo sale 243, lot 515
This specimen was lot 515 in Aureo y Calicó sale 243 (Barcelona, April 2012), where it sold for 3,700 € (about $5,590 including buyer's fees). The catalog[1] noted,
"Fernando VI (1746-1759). 1760. Lima. JM. 8 escudos. Preciosa pátina de monetario. Rara. (Eight escudos of 1760, Lima mint. Handsome toning, rare.)"
This type was struck at Lima 1757-60 and is rare.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 27.07 g, .917 fine gold, .798 troy oz AGW.
