This specimen was lot 21261 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description noted, "ITALY. Papal States. 30 Paoli (Doppia d'Oro), 1780. Pius VI (1775-99). NGC MS-63. From a seldom seen type struck in Rome from 1776 to 1785. The fields display a sprinkling of die rust mixed with bright luster and a hint of reddish color adorns the edges. The single finest graded example of the date at NGC. Ex: Christie's auction, November 2011, Lot #588." This type was issued 1776-85 and is not rare in circulated condition.
