This type is listed in the SCWC for 1775 only for the new pope Pius VI. The doppio giulio was twenty baiocchi, while the scudo was one hundred baiocchi. The SCWC notes this type as common. It was revised in 1776 to substitute the pope's bust (KM 1030) for the papal arms shown here. There is also a doppio giulio of 1775 honoring the Lateran palace (KM 1027).
