Papal St Fr-242 rev Tom F.jpg

This type was issued 1774 only after the death of Clement XIV (1769-74) and prior to the election of Pius VI (1774-99). It is scarce, verging on rare. Unfortunately, this specimen has had a mount crudely torn off, leaving a conspicuous mark.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.45 g, .998 fine gold, .110 troy oz AGW.

Catalog reference: Fr-242; KM 1024, Ber-2945.
