Künker sale 294, lot 3128
This specimen was lot 3128 in Künker sale 294 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €220 (about US$297 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ITALIEN, KIRCHENSTAAT/VATIKAN, Clemens XIV. 1769-1774. 1/2 Zecchino A II/1769, Rom. GOLD. Min. gewellt, sehr schön. (Papal States, Clement XIV, 1769-74, half zecchino of 1769, year 2, Rome mint. Slightly bent, very fine.)"
This type was struck 1769 only for Clement XIV and is among the more common of papal half ducats. It is accompanied by a full ducat (Fr-240).
