This specimen was lot 569 in Jean Elsen sale 132 (Brussels, March 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"ITALIE, ETATS PONTIFICAUX, Pie V (1566-1572), (Antonio Ghisliere), AR teston, Rome. D/ Ecu sous la tiare et les clés. R/ ABSIT NISI IN TE GLORIARI/ ROMA Le Pape agenouillé à g., priant devant une croix. Rare. Beau à Très Beau. (Italy, Pontifical State, Pius V (1566-72), silver testone, Rome mint. Obverse: arms below crossed keys and tiara; reverse: the Pope kneels and prays before the cross. Rare, fine to very fine.)"
This is the most available of the three testone listed for Pius V. None of the silver issued during his reign is particularly common.
