This type was struck for the Philippines 1907-21. It superseded a larger fifty centavos struck 1903-06. The Philadelphia mint struck this type 1907-08 and the San Francisco mint struck this type 1907-09, 1917-19. The final issues, 1920-21, were from the Manila mint. This date is not scarce except in uncirculated. All were demonetized by the Philippine government in the late 1960's when the currency was reformed.

Recorded Mintage: 2,202,000.
