This type, struck 1816-39 in substantial quantities, is available in circulated condition. Many varieties exist and all are avidly collected altho the 1824 is a scarce date, with the 1823/22 being quite scarce.

Recorded mintage: 1,824 plus more struck in 1824 using 1823 dies.

Specification: 10.89 g, copper, 28-29 mm diameter, plain edge, designed by Robert Scot.
