This specimen was lot 1248 in Jean Elsen sale 115 (Brussels, December 2012) where it sold for €700 (about US$1,068 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NEDERLAND, OVERIJSSEL, De Staten in opstand, AR Bourgondische rijksdaalder, 1584, Met titel van Philips II. Droit: Bourgondisch kruis. Revers: Gekroond wapenschild, omringd door de keten van het Gulden Vlies. Zeldzaam. Met TRS ISSV op vz. Mooie patina. Ex HSA 57.2174. Prachtig. (Province of Overijssel, burgundian rixdollar of 1584, in the name of Philip II; obverse: Burgundian cross; reverse: crowned arms, Order of the Golden Fleece around. Nice patina, extremely fine.)"
Overijssel went on to issue many coins as part of the independent Netherlands until the time of Napoleon.
