This specimen was lot 1238 in Jean Elsen sale 115 (Brussels, December 2012) where it sold for €3400 (about US$5,189 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NEDERLAND, OVERIJSSEL, De Staten in opstand, AR Statendaalder, 1578, Hasselt. Droit: PHS D G HISP Z REX DO' TRS' ISSVL' Gekroond bb. van Philips II n.l. met scepter. Revers: PACE ET IVSTITIA Gekroond wapenschild van Oostenrijk-Bourgondië, omringd door de keten van het Gulden Vlies. Uiterst Zeldzaam. Ex HSA 6963. goede Zeer Fraai. (province of Overijssel, states' revolt, state dollar of 1578, Hasselt mint. Obverse: crowned bust to left with scepter; reverse: crowned arms, Order of the Golden Fleece around, good very fine.)"
Overijssel went on to issue many coins as part of the independent Netherlands until the time of Napoleon.
