Olmutz SA30-1038r.jpg

This specimen was lot 1038 in Stephen Album sale 30 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2018), where it sold for $111.62. The catalog description[1] noted, "OLMÜTZ: Karl II von Liechtenstein-Kastelkorn, 1664-1695, AR 3 kreuzer, 1665, KM-227.1, NGC graded MS63." This denomination was struck in numerous varieties 1664-70, 1673, 1676, 1693, 1695. ALtho the illustrious auctioneers call this KM 227.1 (small bust), we are cataloguing this as KM 227.2 (large bust), as the bishop's head breaks thru the inner circle. There is little difference in value.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver.

Catalog reference: KM-227.2.
