This specimen was lot 2428 in Sincona sale 11 (Zurich, May 2013), where it sold for 40,000 CHF (about US$49,522 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR/ÖSTERREICH Olmütz, Bistum Franz von Dietrichstein, 1599-1636. thaler 1630, Kremsier. +F:CARD:TE:PRINC: A-DIETRICHSTAIN-EPS:OLO Büste mit Tonsur in Mozetta, nach rechts. Rv. SVB VMBRA ALA - RVM TVARVM (Blume) Madonna mit Kind und Zepter sitzt von vorn auf Mondsichel in Wolken, umgeben von Strahlenkranz. Darunter das Stifts- und Familienwappen. Kabinettstück. FDC. Ex Auktion UBS 66, September 2006, Lot 1507. Ex Auktion Hess/Leu 29, Luzern, 14. Oktober 1965. (bishopric of Olmutz, Francis of Dietrichstein, 1599-1636, thaler of 1630, Kremsier mint. Obverse: tonsured bust to right; reverse: Madonna and Child and scepter sits on a moonlit cloud, surrounded by a glory, arms of the bishop and bishopric below. Cabinet toning, uncirculated. This one-year type is among the scarcer issues from this ecclesiastical state in Moravia, then part of Austria, now the Czech Republic. Later thalers from the 1720's are listed quite inexpensively.
