Sincona sale 26, lot 2781
This specimen was lot 2781 in Sincona sale 26 (Zurich, October 2015), where it sold for 1,200 CHF (about US$1,482 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Nurnberg, Taler 1795. Gutes vorzüglich. Schöne Patina. (Germany, city of Nurnberg, thaler of 1795, good extremely fine, nice toning.)"
This type is the last thaler issued from the city prior to its annexation by Bavaria about 1802. It is scarce to rare.

Specification: 28.06 g, .833 fine silver, this specimen 28.03 g.
