Sincona sale 39, lot 3243
This specimen was lot 3243 in Sincona sale 39 (Zurich, May 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Nurnberg, Stadt, 20 Kreuzer 1769. Vorzüglich. (Germany, city of Nuremberg, twenty kreuzer of 1769. Extremely fine.)"
This one year type is scarce. The last 20 kreuzer was minted 1774. The relative rarity of German minors such as this twenty kreuzer is much less well documented than that of the thalers and ducats. Nuremberg was mediatized by Napoleon in 1806 and handed over to Bavaria.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver, this specimen 6.63 g.

Catalog reference: Kellner 361, KM 360.
