This specimen was lot 22368 in Heritage sale 3021 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $1,292.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Oscar I of Sweden Speciedaler 1846, XF45 NGC, lightly toned with a trace of luster in the legends, small rim nick at 1 o'clock on the obverse. Scarce type and grade." This type, recorded for 1846-57, is now scarce. It was struck to the Danish standard (Dav-75) rather than the larger Swedish riksdaler (Dav-356).

Recorded mintage: 67,000.

Specification: 28.89 g, .875 fine silver, .812 troy oz ASW.
