This specimen was lot 24586 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 24 Skilling, 1774-IHM. Christian VII (1766-1808). NGC MS-63. A very difficult type to locate in mint state, Several minor planchet flaws, soft satin luster and quite good eye appeal." This type is listed for 1772-75, 1783 and 1788 and, despite the substantial mintage, is scarce. This denomination was one-fourth of a specie daler and was struck in numerous types 1735-88.

Recorded mintage: 283,000.
