This specimen was lot 24216 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Naples. 1/2 Ducat, ND (1516-54)-A. Carlo V (1519-56). NGC VF-30. Toned." This type was struck for Charles V of Spain, also emperor of Germany. The Spanish ruled Naples until the death of the last Hapsburg in 1700.
