This specimen was lot 6569 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2017), where it sold for $763.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Middlesex-Thomas Spence. 1/2 Penny, 1790. PCGS MS-65 BN Secure Holder. Bust left, 'D. MENDOZA' above; Reverse: Two men boxing, legend around, date in exergue. Unusual choice quality with attractive glossy brown patina highlighted by original mint red amongst the devices. From the Michael Druck Collection." This is one of the earlier Conder tokens, whose issue peaked a few years later.
