This specimen was lot 1140 in Stack's Coin Galleries sale (New York, October 2010), where it sold for $149.50. The catalog description[1] noted,
"MEXICO. Estados Unidos. 2 Pesos, 1921 Mo. Centennial of Independence. Angel of Independence before twin peaks. Rv. Eagle on cactus, Roman numeral commemorative dates. Bold lustre, scattering of minute marks. Choice About Uncirculated."
This one year type (also available in gold) is readily available in grades up thru AU; fully struck Uncirculated coins are scarce. Gold two pesos coins were issued 1919-20 and 1944-47.

Recorded mintage: 1,278,000.

Specification: 26.67 g, .900 fine silver, .771 troy oz ASW, designed by Emilio del Moral.
