Shown is an 1896MoB balance scale five centavos, of a type struck 1869-1897. This issue from Mexico City is among the more available dates, though it does not often appear so nice. The SCWC prices it as a common date. Other mints include Hermosillo, Culiacan, Durango, Zacatecas, Chihuahua, Guanajuato, Guadalajara, Oaxaca, Alamos and Potosi.

Specification: 1.35 g, .903 fine silver, .039 troy oz ASW.

Mintage: 80,000.
