The Mexico City mint issued this type 1824-97 and most dates are readily available. Assayers AM and MH are both recorded for 1890. This specimen was lot 4158 in Goldberg sale 85 (Los Angeles, June 2015), where it sold for $317. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mexico. 8 Reales, 1890-Mo MH. Brilliant mint luster. PCGS graded MS-64."

Recorded mintage: 7,412,000 (including assayer AM).

Specification: 27.07 g, .903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
