This specimen was lot 11335 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $345. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Guadalajara. Centavo, 1889-Ga/MO. NGC MS-64 BN. Traces of mint luster. Nice strike." This date is scarce, particularly in nice condition. The Guadalajara mint issued this type 1872-81 and 1889-90.
