Shown is an 1888MoM five pesos gold piece, of a type struck at Mexico City 1870-1905. The type is also recorded from Culiacan, Durango, Guanajuato, Alamos, Chihuahua, Hermosillo and Zacatecas but Mexico City is by far the most prolific issuer. Despite the miniscule mintage, the 1888MoM is considered only a slightly scarce date.
