Shown is a balance scale fifty centavos, of a type struck 1869-1895. This issue from Alamos is a slightly better date for the mint, which produced the type intermittently 1875-88. The SCWC lists this date as 1885-As/Ho L. Other mints include Hermosillo, Mexico City, Durango, Culiacan, Chihuahua, Guanajuato, Zacatecas and Potosi.

Specification: 13.54 g, .903 fine silver, .393 troy oz ASW.
