This specimen was lot 31345 in Heritage sale 3035 (Long Beach, September 2014), where it sold for $1,527.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic gold 20 Pesos 1884/3 Mo-M AU50 NGC, Mexico City mint. Softly struck in the centers but limited actual wear and the overdate 4/3 very clear. An edge bump visible on the obverse is mentioned for accuracy. From The FoxLair Collection." This type was struck in Mexico City 1870-1905 and is the most available mint. Assayer M also exists for this date.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a common date.

Specification: 33.84 g, .875 fine gold, .951 troy oz AGW.
