This specimen was lot 2766 in Ponterio sale 164 (New York, January 2012), where it sold for $316.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Guanajuato. 8 Reales, 1882-GoSB. Attractive toning. NGC MS-64." This date is common in all grades. Assayer SB is known for 1880-83.

Recorded mintage: 2,015,000.

Specification: 27.07 g, .903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
