This specimen was lot 71239 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1882-Cn JD. Culiacan Mint. NGC MS-63. Bold strike, deeply toned and fully original." The Culiacan mint struck eight reales 1846-97 and this date is listed as common for both assayers, JD and AM.

Recorded mintage: 397,000 (both assayers).

Specification: 27.07 g, .903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
